I collaborated with one other Industrial Designer, two Communication Designers, and two Engineers to design and present a smart home product. Our task was to round out Chamberlain Group’s current ecosystem with a device leaning towards the smart-home market, utilizing innovation and integration into the company. The main process included…

• Researching the current smart home market and defining a problem

• Conducting multiple 30 minute interviews to support our findings

• Taking part in tear-downs of products currently on the market

• Connecting the current MyQ Visual Brand Language to our product

• Sketching iterations of our product to define the design

• CAD modeling our device to communicate with the Engineers

• 3D printing with Form Labs Resin and the Bambu X1 Carbon

• Prepping and Finishing our models to be shown during our final presentation day

• Collaborating to curate a final presentation which would be shown to 100+ employees
